Bath Life celebrates the best of city living. Published fortnightly, it includes the very latest on property, arts, dining and shopping, in the beautiful city of Bath.
Issue 163...out now!
Of the many features we publish in Bath Life, the ones you all seem to get most enthusiastic about are the round-ups of places to eat, drink and be merry. Ever keen to please, in this issue we’ve come up with our ultimate guide to country pubs; the only problem you’re likely to have is drawing straws for the designated driver.
In fact, we’ve done a fair amount of out-of-town exploring this month. Rhymingly, we visit the tiny city of Wells (page 70) and the walled garden at Mells (page 78); alliteratively, we’ve been up to Broughton Gifford to admire the field-to-fork philosophy of The Fox (page 52). Kate even made it as far as Valencia (page 80)
The rest of this issue’s features are reassuringly Bath-based. Ben takes a look at the way the 1960s have inspired young local fashion photographers (page 44), we review the behemoth that is the new Hall and Woodhouse restaurant on Old King Street (page 48), and Kate finds much to love at Found (page 64). As for the property showcase, it’s so central that we can almost see it from the Bath Life offices (page 94). Oh, and Nic takes a look at the role of the nun in literary mystery fiction (page 43).
We’re nothing if not eclectic.
